GhostCite is a structural verification tool. It confirms the existence of citations in the public record via the CourtListener API. It is not a "Citator" (e.g., Shepard's or KeyCite) and does not provide information regarding the current doctrinal validity or "Good Law" status of a case.

2. No Legal Advice

The results provided by GhostCite do not constitute legal advice or a legal opinion. Rule26 AI, Inc. is not a law firm. Use of this tool does not create an attorney-client relationship.

3. User Responsibility & Disclaimers

You acknowledge that the accuracy of legal filings is the sole responsibility of the filing attorney. Rule26 AI, Inc. provides this tool "as-is" and disclaims all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any court sanctions, malpractice claims, or damages arising from the use of this tool.

4. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use automated scripts (bots) to scrape data from GhostCite or to circumvent rate limits. Abuse of the system global API token may lead to immediate account termination.

5. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal action or proceeding relating to your access to, or use of, the Service shall be instituted in a state or federal court in Dallas County, Texas.
